Go Team Coco!

Posted on 26 January 2010 by Paul Rice

It’s a sad day for us fans of drunken college humor, masturbating bears, and vomiting muppets, as Conan O’Brien, the brilliant late night host, is off the air for the first time since 1993. As a guy who survived many a late night cram session in college with Conan on in the background, I fear I am on the verge of tears. Of course, last week O’Brien bid adieu to NBC after just seven months hosting The Tonight Show, and we won’t see him hosting any kind of show until September, at the earliest.

As as a tribute to perhaps my favorite entertainer of all time, here’s a priceless skit Conan did for Late Night a while back. After catching wind of an actual group of people who reenacted old-timey baseball games from the 1860′s, right down to the lingo and the goofy socks, O’Brien brought a camera crew to the proceedings…and boy did antics ensue. Here it is, in all it’s glory, and I must say, Conan sports one HELL of a stache in one scene. What is that demonry?
