Cubs Introduce New Logo, Jersey

Posted on 28 June 2010 by Kevin Lager

In the wake of yet another Cubs player being suspended by his own team for being a jerk, the Northsiders have upped the ante in creating a kindlier, friendlier image:

A new logo on a new jersey.

“If Milton Bradley had worn these threads in 2009, he’d still be a happy Cub going after his second consecutive Triple Crown and World Series MVP,” announced Cubs GM Jim Hendry as the new logo was introduced at Wrigley Field. “And when Carlos Zambrano sees how cute the widdle rilakkuma looks on Cubbie Blue, I’ll bet he turns from a spaz machine to a hugging machine. This is the proudest moment of Chicago Cubs jersey history yet!”

What do Soriano and Fukudome think of the new logo and jersey?

Hey, it’s better than pulling a North Vancouver Hot Shots and quitting.

No way this is true? I am sorry that I am a little so on the uptake. Is this a joke?

It’s as real as a Cubs world series win, baby!
