Love Lies Bleeding Shows Us Attractive Women In Sparkly Dodgers Uniforms

“What would beautiful and talented women look like in that uniform,” is what 75,000 people crammed inside Dodger Stadium must have been thinking in 1975 during an epic Elton John concert.

35 years later, we finally know.

Canada’s new centre for edgy and important art, Calgary, is playing host to the world premier of the Alberta Ballet’s Love Lies Bleeding, a ballet inspired by the music of Sir Elton John.

It’s a scientific fact proven by advanced mathematics (I think there a triple integral, a LaPlace transform, and maybe an Arcsinx in there somewhere) that “Bennie and the Jets” is Elton John’s greatest song, so how could it ever be improved? How about during a ballet performance featuring gorgeous women (and men, of course) rocking Elton’s circa-1975 Los Angeles Dodger-inspired duds? We have a winner!

Seriously, who doesn’t think a world with lots of this is good?

These terrific uniforms and the artists that filled them was the highlight amoung highlights of the smash-hit ballet (hell yes I was there), and is the baseball jersey highlight of the year, hands down.

[...] Elton John once filled Dodger stadium to capacity, and wore a skin-tight sparkly Dodgers jersey while doing so.  I’m sure he also did about a pound of coke before the show.  Anyway, this feller wondered what a hot chick would look like in the same get-up.  Here’s his recreation, and I don’t know if I’m more or less gay for having gone through it.  <seventhinningstache> [...]
