Bill Belichick is a raging douche

There is nothing more sacred in Boston than their sports teams, if things like BIll Simmons and TV have taught me anything. So Bill Belichick was the king of Boston when he was winning Super Bowls. He was more than happy to hitch his wagon to the Red Sox while they were winning. Now, however, David Ortiz is in decline, the Red Sox are losing, and Belichick is not shy about shifting loyalties.

This week, he sent Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon a New England Patriots hooded sweatshirt as a peace offering. On the surface, this may just seem like a cute little story because they both wear hoodies. Dig deeper friends. He is sending gifts to a Red Sox divisional rival! Belichick doesn’t do cute, he does cold and calculating. He wants to be associated with winners, and Boston go screw.

Besides, it’s not like Belichick doesn’t have a history of questionable decisions involving personal loyalties.
