Thursday’s Hot Stahoviak

Every Thursday, 7IS Contributor Ryan Henning will take a look at a rumor burning up the hot stove. You may not think it’s important, but it must be important to someone.

It’s been a long day for me, but it is still Thursday, and we need to check out the Hot Stahoviak. If last week’s edition netted Matt Kemp pop sensation Rihanna, than by golly this IS important, even if I am running behind. And it’s possibly not soon enough for the apparently unwanted Jarrod Washburn. There were reports earlier in the week that the Twins had made an offer to Washburn, but the Star Tribune’s La Velle E Neal says that the Twins haven’t copped to such a deal. What does this all mean?

- Jarrod Washburn is like that ugly girl who will do anything. You don’t REALLY want to tell anyone your interested, but you are at least a little curious, and you have to find out how it will work.

- Once you look past Glenn Perkins, Francisco Liriano, Brian Duensing and Anthony Swarzak, the Twins won’t have any options for 5th starter.

- Jarrod Washburn actually wants to play for the Twins or Brewers. If he gets rejected by the Brewers, he will probably need therapy.

- The thought was that the Twins would use one of their pitchers in a trade for someone like Dan Uggla if Washburn was signed. Now the Twins definitely won’t trade for Uggla, but at least they will have an excuse.
