MHOF Retrospecticus I

On the day of his retirement, The Big Unit Randy Johnson became the 25th member of the prestigious and time-honoued MLB Mustache Hall of Fame.
Twenty-five. That’s a quarter-century, and a good time for a retrospecticus. Where does your team stack up, if it even stacks at all? What position is the stacheingest?
First, a look at the MHOF positionally:
| Position | Enshrinees |
| SP | 3 |
| RP | 5 |
| C | 1 |
| 1B | 2 |
| 2B | 2 |
| SS | 1 |
| 3B | 2 |
| OF | 8 |
| MGR | 1 |
Arms and outfielders currently rule the upper lip. All other positions are represented, featuring none other than Dale “Boo Boo” Berra as your current starting shortstop. This is just a dirty chart, though, and doesn’t award bonuses for style points. I think we can all agree that relief pitchers would do even better by that metric.
| Teams | Enshrinees |
| Brewers | 3 |
| Cubs | 3 |
| Pirates | 3 |
| A’s | 2 |
| Angels | 2 |
| Devil Rays | 2 |
| Expos | 2 |
| Padres | 2 |
| Blue Jays | 1 |
| Cangrejeros | 1 |
| Diamondbacks | 1 |
| Giants | 1 |
| Mets | 1 |
| White Sax | 1 |
You see it too, eh? There’s pure facial hair domination by the NL Central, and more MHOFers are representing Canada than The Big Apple and Puerto Rico combined! If you can hear me in Chicago, the Northsiders are running away with this.
If your team is poorly represented, then you’re simple cheering for the wrong team. That, or you aren’t working hard enough for your boys. Nominate your favourite stache in the comments, or send a sweet mustache photo’s URL to NESWblogs-at-Gmail.com
The MHOF is young, and who knows what brave directions these cookie-dusters will lead us to next?
